Great mid-level low/vortex (well-captured in sat winds)
crusies down (just off) the coast Feb 8-13, giving heavy
rain to CA on the 12-13th.
12 February: There were no rapid scan IR winds at 12z due to sat. ops.
No rapid scan winds at 3z due to lack of targeting image.
IOP 09 run from 030z through 430z.
IOP 10 run from 22z through 630z (13 Feb.).

VIS winds picking up very low-level, coastally-trapped southerly flow.
